Re: THE NEW AMERICAN CANYON WAL-MART!
In retrospect, interesting to see what all the ballyhoo was about. The ballyhoo as you call it was the fact that the developer and the business were getting a free ride. Since it went to the courts they are now paying their fair share for doing business in American Canyon. The taxpayers have saved ...

Re: THE NEW AMERICAN CANYON WAL-MART!
My understanding the new Walmart has the same people running it. Nobody was hired from American Canyon and people just don't see the big savings. I give 5 years before closure.....

I think the planning commission went well. Although most of the people left after the 10 min. break. Everyone was extremely happy, Buzz Butler was high fiving all of his tenants and anyone he has worked with in the last 20 years to come and speak on his behalf, I mean W/M behalf and how the project ...

Votes with the boys: Unless Joan and Cindy have extra body organs hmmmmm/ I don't know what you're talking about. I make informed decisions based on facts. Yes, Victor always sides with his boys. It is quite evident this is a promise to MJ for helping the boys get into office and most likely a promise to the developer to purchase the property. You scratch my back and I will scratch yours. Cabernet Village wasn't even up for discussion until we had a ro...

The City Council just approved a 12 Million dollar line of credit for the new " TEMPORARY COUNCIL CHAMBERS ! You know I find it so funny, these council members feel we the tax payers get to anti up every time they want new digs or something else. How ironic that only Council Member Coffey was t...

The whole WM thing got started because of a switch and bait. We were told the city was approving the town center, with main street, but instead we were thrown a bunch of lies and got a walmart instead. a big huge walmart that will further stifle traffic until the new super duper walmart opens up 2 m...

Ok so we pay 8.7 million for the building. Property taxes are 1%, + the additional unsecured property tax for napa county, and interest rates are currently around 6.5% assuming business properties get the same rate is residential properties. You have tenants who I would assume are on a five year lea...

Why would it take 3 to 5 years to have an extension put on a building the city already owns? If a whole subdivision can be built and sold in a year and half maybe the city should start talking to the developers, or maybe they should consult with the developers for walmart, which was basically buillt...

Spending $8.3 million is outragious. Remember when the new joint fire/police station was going to be built? The original quote was something like 2.7 million and now it is well over that figure at 7.4 million I believe. Feel free to correct my figures. The joint even includes the cost of a fire pole...

Tele-Commuting

James Walker - Vic Riv
I agree the Parks & Rec's commission would be a great stepping stone for James Walker. I hope he decides to step up to the plate. We need young fresh ideas, instead of a $90K bocci ball court. I was shocked Victor wants to be on the Planning Commission! Because of Victor Parks & Rec's people...

The world according to Victor Rivera. Must be nice to live in a glass house. From my eyes watching an elderly woman cry because of your group Impact 94503 harassing her daily is sad. Okay recently the parks approved $90K for a bocci ball field. Wouldn't this money be better spent on something that would widely be used like a senior facility or improvements to Kimberely field. Sorry Vic your wrong about Joan....
Joan did request a recount, but couldn't come up with the money to have one done. So in turn your group went after Luporini and forced her to resign, then ran Joan in the June special election.

Mr. Riveria
Cecil Shaver is his own man. Since he is spending his own "Money" for the recount why should you have a problem with it Mr. Rivera? Joan Bennett requested a recount in her election bid against Lori Luporini. I didn't see you tell Joan to bow out gracefully Mr. Riveria instead you launched ...
