Bike Rodeo

The 4th of July Committee along with the American Canyon Police Department would like you to join us for a Bike Rodeo.

Place: Community Center parking lot, 100 Benton Drive
When: Saturday June 24, 2006
Time: Registration begins at 10:00 AM

The Bike Rodeo is open to all youths that are beginning riders. There are no age restrictions, but the course is set up for beginners. There will be a small obstacle course to ride through, while learing about bicycle safety. Afterwards, there will be a slalom course race between riders in different age brackets. Winners will receive prizes that will be handed out at the American Canyon 4th of July Celebration.

The Kiwanis Club of American Canyon will be on hand to sell hot dogs. Police Technicians will be on hand to license bicycles.

Please remember to wear your bicycle helmet and safety gear, and come join us for this fun event.

Thank you to all of the participants in this years Bike Rodeo. Everyone that showed up had a great time and the kids enjoyed the obstacle course, teeter-totter, and ramp. Thank you to all of the volunteers that made this event successful. We could not have done it without your help. A special thank you to the fire explorers, police volunteers, bike mechanics, 4th of July Committee, and the Kiwanis who served hot dogs, chips and sodas. We all look forward to next years event.
