Danny Thomas and Friends will present an afternoon of music at JFK library, 505 Santa Clara Street, Vallejo, on Saturday, June 7, at 1:00pm.
Danny, a songwriter, native Vallejoan and former ConFunkShun keyboardist, will showcase his musical tribute to African-American heroes, Martin Luther King, Jr., President Barack Obama and others. He will be joined by musicians Michael Nelson, General X, Crystal Drummer and others. His music CD will be available for purchase at the free event and refreshments will be served.
The concert is a part of of JFK Library’s First Saturday series, a monthly performing or cultural event held the first Saturday of the month in the Joseph Room. Funding for the series is provided by the Vallejo Friends of the Library.
