Re: Graffiti Hotline

At this same location there is a continual problem with abandoned items, as well. There has been a mattress there on the curb for almost two weeks now. It seems to move from one side of the city line to the other. One day it's in Vallejo, then later it is back in American Canyon. It seems like neither city wants to take responsibility for getting rid of this nuisance. Instead of playing "passing the buck," they keep playing "passing the mattress." This is just ridiculous ~ SOMEBODY needs to take responsibility for disposing of these abandoned items and for finding out who keeps leaving this stuff there on the street!

Officer Montoya, thank you for posting that number. You probably know about the graffitti over the county line in back of the old Safeway on Danrose Drive. The Vallejo number for graffiti abatement, 648-5207, appears to fall on deaf (or incompetent) ears. I’ve called six times and got an answering machine each time. Does our AmCan Police know someone we could call in Vallejo to get them off their bureaucratic rear ends, grab a roller and some paint, and blot out that eyesore?

The American Canyon Police Department has a Graffiti Hotline at 647-7607. Please call this number to report graffiti on either public or private property. This hotline is monitored at ACPD and we will follow up on the information given.

Thanks for your help,

Officer Ted Montoya
