What ever happened chiverly, helping ones neighbor in need.

Today's Times Herald (Sunday, August 13, 2006

I read in horror today of events that unfolded during a domestic violence dispute in Vallejo. A husband was beating the crap out of his wife while the neighbors looked on. The husband leaves in his truck and the woman is lying on the ground as the neighbors look on. A few minutes later the husband returns with a baseball bat to finish off the job as the neighbors look on. One neighbor proudly stated " it doesn't even look like her anymore" and could believe how the woman's husband
beat the F@#$ out of her
as she looked on.

In June before school was out one of the parents was telling me how his father was attacked by six men outside Washington Mutual in Vallejo and people just kept walking by like nothing was happening.

And we all sit here wondering when someone is going to action to protect our country and we can't even count on people taking action within our own communities. No wonder everone thought Jessica Lynch was a hero,
when she was actually a survivor.

The definition of Hero:
A man distinguished by exceptional courage and nobility and strength

The definiton of Leader: a person who rules or guides or inspires others

The definition of Survivor: one who lives through affliction
