Pavement on Streets

Post by Guest »

Can anyone confirm the rumor about "the streets in the older section that are being dug up and having new sewers/pipes installed not being completely re-paved (professionally) until after Napa Junction Phase 1 and II are complete. Some of the older residents on W Carolyn and Rio Del Mar are concerned about the horrible shape of the streets. Maybe Lori or Cindy can check this out

new sewer line

I'm trying to figure out how many times you need to dig up the same street (Rio del Mar) to put in a new pipe. Also, it looks like everyone on that street is getting a line for a new clean out but only up to property owner's line? You would think for the inconvience the residence would at least get a new clean out. Also, there appears to be alot of theft and vandalism in construction areas lately(Which seems to be everywhere in AmCan). Maybe we need to look at transient workers? I heard this was a problem in So. Calif. when they were developing new housing communities.

Rio Del Mar

I agree! The people that live on Rio Del Mar and the feeder streets off of it should be compensated for all this mess. Every other day a new street is closed off and the old street they were working on is still being worked on. One street at a time guys.....

We've been waiting 8 years and the old council has just been sitting on their you-know-what. Colcleaser promised us a traffic light at 260 American Canyon Road eight years ago. We still can't get out of the parks today without taking our lives in our hands. Luporini and Anderson agreed. Shaver... well lets not go there. The road itself is full of potholes and ruts. Mark Joseph has pocketed developer impact fees from the new homes but this money seems to have been spent somewhere else... like adding to already bloated City Staff. They seem more interested in developing Oat Hill than fixing the streets... back-asswards priorities.

so you want a traffic light at 260 american canyon road? and so does 244 american canyon road. and dont forget the one at parrys market. you might as well include one for the apartments next to you. now lets see that would be 4 traffic lights between hwy 29 and Flosden Road. that should bog things down a bit. try driving in napa. those are some of the worse streets. everyone expects things to be done overnight. :D
