I would like to see the American Canyon transportation system improved. There should be more frequent stops and more available stops to the children of our community. Just last Wednesday, I saw children crossing Highway 29 (I assume coming from school they had their backpacks) and were almost hit by someone who ran the intersection. I know quite a few children that have to cross busy cross walks in order to go to and from school. Therefore, I think a better transportation system would do wonders for these children. Currently, NVUSD does not provide adequate transportation for Canyon Oaks. I would really like to see transportation from the Vintage Ranch Community over to the Benton Way Community Center/Boys & Girls Club area so the children can participate in supervised after school activities. Of course, I am a parent who is willing to pay for this service, one which ensures safety.
