Concerned about an older person?

FREE class on what to look for and how to help, offered by Healthy Minds, Healthy Aging: A Program for Older Adults in Napa Valley.

Gatekeeper Training will be held at the American Canyon Senior Center, 2185 Elliott Drive, on Monday, May 11th from 1:00-2:00. Call 707.251.2058 to reserve your place. Gatekeepers are community members who come into regular contact with older adults. No professional counseling or mental health skills are required. Gatekeepers can be family, friends, neighbors ,caregivers, clergy, beauty shop operators, utility employees, repair personnel, veterinarians, etc. All too often those in need don’t call for help but those who see them regularly are in the best position to notice changes that could signal the beginnings of mental, cognitive or emotional distress. Gatekeepers are a vital link in bringing help to elderly community members in need. JOIN US IN THIS IMPORTANT EFFORT!
