The John F. Kennedy Library will celebrate JAM (Jazz Appreciation Month) by presenting a free jazz concert on Saturday, April 6, at 12:00 noon in the Joseph Room. The concert will present the Dalt Williams Quartet performing music of composers born in the month of April. The music of Duke Ellington, Herbie Hancock, Charles Mingus, Gerry Mulligan, and Shorty Rogers will be featured. The Friends of the Vallejo Public Libraries is sponsoring the free event. Refreshments will be served.

Dalt Williams is a native Vallejoan, a graduate of San Francisco State University and taught music for 35 years at Vanden High School and Benicia High School. He has performed with Vince Guaraldi, Ed Thigpen (Oscar Peterson), David van Kriedt (Dave Brubeck), Larry Vuckovich, Calvin Keys, Rudy Salvini, and Al Trobbe."
