DISNEYLAND ANAHIEM

Post by mattbb61 »

I just returned from a week in Disneyland... Anyone planning a trip there? Feel free to pose any questions - I'd be gald to fill you in on what went on during our recent visit; prices, rides that were down or breaking down, and what happens during an earthquake!

Issa, even though it was just a week ago, we want to go again! If you have never tried the Disneyland Hotel or the Disney California Adventure Hotel, I highly recommend at least one evening at either place. We spent three nights at the Disneyland Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it. We did the valet parking, room service and even tried out the send-out laundry service. Since it was our first real vacation since 2000, we did splurge a bit on the trimmings... If you go that way, ensure you have a pocket full of five dollar bills for quick tips. If you are not used to walking, I would instead suggest a close hotel just outside the main gate; its closer than walking through Downtown Disney to your lodgings. Now, the California Adventure Hotel IS closer, but is more expensive. Your call... It’s a Small World ride is down for renovation, and is due to reopen this November, if their schedule stays on tract... The Indiana Jones ride was down the entire time I was there for mechanical reasons... However, the Pirates of the Caribbean WAS open as usual, and provided its normal return on investment, as did the Hollywood Terror Hotel ride.
