Notice of Public Hearing

Post by Frankie G »

Once again the City trying to sneak things past the people. They require 21 days advanced notice. This was given only 9. Not all people got this either. HMMMMMMM

CITY OF AMERICAN CANYON PLANNING COMMISSION
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
On MONDAY, March 19, 2007, at the hour of 6:00 p.m., at the City Services Facility located at 100 Benton Way, a public hearing will be held by the Planning Commission of the City of American Canyon to consider the following application:
APPLICATION: Major Modification (MM 07-01) to the Master Plan and Design Review Permit for the Napa Junction Mixed-Use Project (DR 03-01), and Re-Approval of Design Review Permit (DR 04-07) and Sign Program Permit (SP 04-03) for the Wal-Mart Supercenter.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Napa Junction Phase II project includes a Wal-Mart Supercenter consisting of a building approximately 173,015 square feet in size, with a 13,781 square foot outdoor garden center and a 7,625 square foot seasonal event sales area in the parking lot occupying 25 parking spaces when in use, on a 15.48-acre site. In addition to the Wal-Mart Supercenter Applications, Phase II will also contain two individual parcels along Napa Junction Road, one of which will contain a Chevron Station with a convenience store and carwash , and the other of which is anticipated to be a non-food related, service-oriented retail business. The combined square footage of these additional proposals would be approximately 5,445 square feet. These proposed uses, however, would be the subject of separate development applications and noticed public hearings.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW: Addendum to previously-adopted (December 18, 2003) Mitigated Negative Declaration for the Napa Junction Mixed Use Project.
PROJECT LOCATION: 7011 Main Street, Southeast corner of Napa Junction Road and Highway 29/Broadway.
All interested persons are invited to attend the meeting and be heard on this matter. Copies of all documents that relate to the above-described project may be examined at the City offices. Written comments may be submitted to Sandra Cleisz, 3423 Broadway, Suite D-2, American Canyon, CA 94503, prior to the public hearing.

A Couple of Questions?

Post by ac94503 »

I received a card in the mail regarding this meeting. I believe one of the local newspapers quoted Mr. Ross that this meeting has been rescheduled til a later date in March? Is that correct? Also, one comment...6:00 P.M. is rather early considering many in the community may not even be home from work at that time.

Also, is there still a plan for March 25, 2007 for Youth Day or Am Can Cares? Haven't seen much about that
