Flooding History of American Canyon

Post by mattbb61 »

Nice sunny day today!

This absence of rain, and the anniversary of the 1986 Napa Flood which is banner headlines in the Napa Valley Register, as well as the level of the American Canyon creek near the corner of Knightsbridge and Elliot, makes me wonder about the history of flooding in our fair city. The NVR article, or course, makes NO reference whatsoever about the water level during that 1986 flood.

I KNOW we were hit on December 31 2005, and have submitted my own photos to that effect.

Are there other instances where we were hit? Got any photos? Geographic locations?
