ALERT **** TAX REFUND SCAM****

Please be aware of the following:

Tax Refund Scams:

Watch out for e-mails from refund@irs.gov stating they miscalculated your tax payment and that you will be credited some amount of money. The message will contain a form to be completed. The form requests your SSN, Master Charge or Visa credit card information and PIN number. The email claims that the refund will be deposited to your credit card.

This is a scam and not legitimate. Do not respond to the email. For further information, go to http://www.irs.com and click on the “Avoid Tax Scams” link under “Hot Topics” in the lower right hand portion of the home page.
